Cleaning procedures. Employees and volunteers are cleaning high-touch surfaces like counters, bathrooms, doors, and railings between every screening. We have spaced our screening times to allow our staff and volunteers ample time to clean each auditorium, including cleaning theater seats with electrostatic disinfectant.
Concessions stand is closed. Our concessions stand will not be available at this time. The risk of germs spreading greatly increases if people are snacking on popcorn and drinks (therefore, taking their masks off again and again) during the film. We will reevaluate as infection numbers decrease and county/state restrictions are lifted. We appreciate your understanding!
Screening for symptoms. We are screening all employees and volunteers for COVID-19 symptoms daily (fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, etc.). We ask that all patrons self-screen for symptoms prior to arrival as well. If you are ill, we ask that you stay home. If you need a refund for tickets already purchased, give us a call and our box office is happy to assist.
Tickets and assigned seating. In order to effectively and efficiently distance in-theater, we have instituted assigned seating. Our staff will assist you in finding a seat when you arrive at the auditorium. Online tickets are highly recommended! If you are purchasing tickets at the box office, please come prepared with a card for payment rather than cash.
Limit on seats
. We are selling no more than 25% of our seats per auditorium to allow social distancing during screenings. Depending on the auditorium size, that is a maximum of 18-26 people per auditorium. Thank you for your understanding, as popular showtimes may fill up quicker than usual. Online tickets are highly recommended! In order to maximize social distancing, we ask that you not congregate or in the lobby before or after your film.Take care to protect yourself:
- Consider if you are in a vulnerable group according to the Washington State Department of Health and CDC. Individuals who are ill or in a vulnerable group should consider to attend another time (and contact their health provider)
- Frequently wash hands for at least 20 seconds with warm water and avoid touching your face. Restrooms are available in both the main lobby and lower lobby areas for your use. Use a paper towel to turn off water and open and close doors
- Do not shake hands or elbow bump, waving works great!
Any changes to our procedures or film schedule will be communicated via email, website, and social media. Thank you for your continued support of The Grand Cinema!
